To maintain consistent quality, seedlings are available for Nursery Pick-Up only. Seedlings will be ready for pickup late June - July. Once they are ready, we will contact you to schedule pickup.
 
Description: Giant Badger II seedlings come from an extra cold-hardy Chinese X American hybrid from Badgersett Research Farm in Minnesota, that is grown at Red Fern Farm. Pollen-sterile, so seedlings will need to be grown with suitable pollen-fertile trees. They produce extra-large nuts, up to 24 grams, and their offspring should be reliably cold-hardy in zone 4b.
 
Pot Sizes: Seedlings come in pots that are 4x4 inches square at the top and 9.5 inches tall to allow for excellent root development.
