To maintain consistent quality, seedlings are available for Nursery Pick-Up only. 1 Year seedlings will be ready for pickup in April or early May. Once they are ready, we will contact you to schedule pickup.
 
Description: Badgerqing II seedlings come from a mother tree at Red Fern Farm, near Wapello, IA, that is a cross between Badgersett Research Farm hybrid chestnuts pollinized by ‘Qing.’ They are heavy-bearers of medium to large nuts. Though the Badgerqing trees are pollen-sterile, it is expected about half of their seedlings will be pollen-fertile. Extra cold-hardy.
 
Pot Sizes: Seedlings come in pots that are 4x4 inches square at the top and 9.5 inches tall to allow for excellent root development.
